About Tulsa Welding School

Tulsa Welding School’s (TWS) core mission is about changing the lives of students through skilled trades education. Started in 1949, TWS provides training in the fundamentals of welding, HVAC/R and electrical. Our expert instructors prepare students for entry-level job opportunities in the skilled trades, a lifetime of learning, and personal fulfillment.

Programs to Choose From:

  • Professional Welder
    The 7-month Professional Welder program trains students in the fundamentals of structural welding, fluxcore welding and pipe welding, and sets them up for entry-level job opportunities as a welder.
     
  • Refrigeration Technologies
    The 7-month Refrigeration Technologies programtrains students in the fundamentals of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technologies (HVAC/R). This hands-on training program prepares students for entry-level job opportunities as HVAC/R technicians.
     
  • Electrical Applications
    The 7-month Electrical Applications program prepares students for job opportunities as an entry-level electrician. This program teaches students the fundamentals of mechanical and electrical principles, residential and commercial wiring and more.
     
  • Electro-Mechanical Technologies
    The 9-month Electro-Mechanical Technologies programteaches the fundamentals of electricity, residential and commercial wiring, comfort systems, and HVAC/R. It prepares students for entry-level job opportunities as HVAC/R technicians, maintenance electricians and more.
     
  • Associate of Occupational Studies in Welding Technology
    The Associate of Occupational Studies in Welding Technology program consists of the Professional Welder program, plus even more in-depth welding instruction in non-destructive testing techniques, metallurgy, codes and welding inspector quality control and assurance. In addition to entry-level welding job opportunities, this program also prepares students for job opportunities as a welding quality assurance/quality control welding inspector.You must take the Professional Welder program as a prerequisite for this program. That’s just 7 additional months of training!

Tulsa is the second-largest city in the state of Oklahoma, offering students a cosmopolitan atmosphere that feels southern, eastern and western all at once. The TWS Tulsa Campus is conveniently located near the 412, 244 and 64 expressways, near Broken Arrow and within driving distance from Oklahoma City, Norman and Tuttle. Students can dine at one of Tulsa’s steakhouses, enjoy live music, tour museums, and stroll through parks while training for their careers.
